Apart from offering basic know-how about C-Parts and C-Parts management, the book constitutes a comprehensive work of reference for employees, manufacturing companies, customers and business associates as well as for schools, universities and colleges.

Tradition and Innovation: Expert Forum on C-Parts Management at Würth Industrie Service
On June 25th and 26th, 2019, Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG carried through the third Expert Forum C-Parts Management at Industriepark Würth in Bad Mergentheim, which was attended by 500 participants. On the occasion of the 20th company anniversary, the event was under the motto: “Tradition and Innovation”. In the center of the attention was the exchange on current market trends around the topics of Industry 4.0, digitalization, automation and networking in the industry sector, as well as in the logistics area. Speakers from Festo, Schenker, Siemens, Uvex, Würth, as well as Fraunhofer Institute reported about their experiences and gave some food for thought.

600th RFID customer of Würth Industrie Service
Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG implemented a new RFID Kanban system for the French manufacturer of camping equipment and motor homes, Trigano, at their Mamers location. This intelligent solution safeguards efficient supply of C-Parts to production. With the most recent project for Trigano, Würth Industrie Service has now equipped 600 customers with this solution all over Europe.

One system for all suppliers.
Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG has more than one million C-Parts in its product range. Würth Industrie Service has devised a new system to meet individual customer requirements that go beyond its own product range. With CPS®miLOGISTICS, not only standard and special parts, but also non-Würth items are integrated into the C-Parts management system and incorporated into the efficient Kanban supply from Würth Industrie Service. For users, this means significantly less effort in terms of procurement and supplier management, a fully integrated service for all items and maximum security of supply.

Sales record 2017
Würth Industrie Service exceeds EUR 500 million mark?
Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG can look back on an exceptionally successful year 2017. Reporting double-digit growth of 11 %, the customers’ reliable partner for C parts management generated sales of EUR 504 million for the very first time. The number of employees rose to 1,489. In 2018, Würth Industrie Service strives to achieve similar growth rates, mainly investing in staff and the further development of digital solutions in C-Parts management.

The motor behind Industry 4.0
More than 500 invited guests from around the world met for the first Expert Forum C-Parts Management at Industriepark Würth in Bad Mergentheim to discuss the challenges of Industry 4.0, digitalisation and autonomisation in the industrial sector and logistics industry.
There are already numerous technological innovations in the logistics industry. Clear trends here are collaboration and self-organising processes. Apart from representatives from Kärcher, KUKA, STILL and Würth, the top-class speakers included Prof. Dr. Michael ten Hompel, for whom logistics play the central role in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Expansion of logistics center
Würth Industrie Service’s extended logistics centre starts operation
Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG has expanded its European logistics centre in Bad Mergentheim. A new fully automatic high-rack warehouse has raised capacity by more than 49,000 pallet storage slots to currently around 650,000 storage locations, 150,000 of them for pallets alone.
Würth Industrie Service is therefore now able to offer maximum supply security of C-Parts to customers in more than 35 countries. The new logistics area was opened in mid-May in the course of the Expert Forum C-Parts Management.
The new high-rack warehouse extends over a length of 120 metres and a height of 45 metres, making it one of the biggest of its kind in the whole of Europe.

Integration of the storage and retrieval machines
Expansion of logistics center is coming to an end: storage and retrieval machines integrated into new high-bay warehouse.
On Tuesday, 28 March 2017, the storage and retrieval machines were delivered and installed for Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG’s new high-bay warehouse at Würth Industrial Park in Bad Mergentheim.
Storage and retrieval machines (SRM) are the heart of the new high-bay warehouse at Würth Industrie Service. They are column-guided vehicles that are used to store and retrieve goods. Five completely automated SRMs operate in the five aisles of the newly erected high-bay warehouse at Würth Industrie Service. The warehouse, which is 45 m high and 120 m long, is among the largest warehouses of its kind in Europe and forms the basis for continued maximum supply security for all customers. It currently has a capacity of 49,000 pallet spaces.

Groundbreaking
On 21 July 2016, the ground work began in advance of construction of the most modern logistics centre for industrial supply in Europe at Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG. This moment was marked with an official ground-breaking ceremony featuring 30 invited guests, including Mayor Udo Glatthaar, member of the German parliament Margaret Horb, the planners and engineers involved, as well as Würth Industrie Service management.
"The start of these construction works forms the foundation for further growth of Würth Industrie Service. As a leading industrial partner in C-parts, we have to ensure that out of 1,000,000 products, the correct C-Part is always in the right place at the right time for our customers' production and maintenance tasks", said Rainer Bürkert, Executive Vice President of the Würth Group. "And not just in Germany, but across the whole of Europe."
